Igicumbi Photography Museum is a home for photographs produced by Umurage Wacu Group through research, publications, photo books, and visits to historical and cultural sites across Rwanda and Africa.

The museum aims to preserve Rwandan and African heritage through photography, helping future generations understand the history, culture, and traditions of their ancestors. It also seeks to promote photography in Rwanda, the African Great Lakes Region, and across the African continent.

Photography in Rwanda has a rich history, from the colonial era to the digital age. Igicumbi Photography Museum serves as a place to showcase this journey while contributing to the preservation, restoration, and documentation of photographic heritage.
